1936. No Binding. Signed slip, 8 x 13 cm, "George Broadbridge" with 'Lord Mayor City of London' stamp and address stamp reading 'Mansion House, EC4'. Includes 5 newspaper clippings from Broadbridge's time as Lord Mayor of London, 1936-7. Broadbridge (1869-1952) was a British politician and businessman who became Lord Mayor of London in 1836 and so took part in the coronation of George VI. One of the newspaper clippings includes an account of Michael Joseph Savage, Premier of New Zealand, being given the freedom of the city (and mistakenly designated as Premier of Canada. Very Good.
