1936. No Binding. ALS on notepaper with blindstamped letterhead, '150 Chiltern Court, Baker Street, NW1'. "Dear Mr Hoffman, Enclosed please find autograph on the leaf you sent me. I hope Auckland is as cheery as it used to be. New Zealand has always been my favourite country. With all good wishes and sorry can't bring the 'Queen Mary' round the Islands. Yours truly, E.F. Britten". Dated 16 March 1936. One side of single sheet (17.5 x 11.5 cm). Also includes small newspaper clipping of the announcement of Britten's commandership of the Queen Mary. Britten (1874-1936) was Captain of the Cunard LIne Queen Mary for her maiden voyage to New York in 1836. Very Good. Item #18024
